Indian Summer

Today I went exploring in County Wexford for the first time since I've lived in Ireland for the past 11 years.  This country keeps on surprising me with all of it's natural beauty, quaint towns and great local produce and restaurants.  Today we went to Greystones and ate at The Happy Pear which was really healthy and tastey!  Our walk on the beach did get rained out a bit, but I still managed to snap a few pics of my outfit. . . I recently bought these pleather culottes at Zara and they are on point for the A/W season.  Culottes can be hard to wear and they're not everyones cup of tea, but I like to experiment with different trends.  What do you guys think - would you rock culottes? xo

Geometry

It's mid-August, and summer has finally arrived to Ireland!  It's good to be alive and in such a vibrant city like Dublin.  On sunny days, after work I want to make the most of the day and head into the city's parks for some sun and relaxation. . .The kids love it too, there are so many great parks here!

Alas, autumn is just around the corner and the shops are starting to stock the A/W collections, which I am super excited about!  I just had a bit of a haul from Zara which included this top.  I love the colour burgundy for autumn.  This top also has cool velvet details that don't come out well in the pictures.  Enjoy the sun everyone! xo

LBD

I was lucky enough to have a babysitter for two weekends in a row, so I hit the town again last night in this all black ensemble.  I suppose, I really should start wearing more colour, but well. . .black is just so universally flattering.  This dress was a steal for just 10 euros at Penney's and it fit really well. I paired it with some leather accessories- my Mansur Gavriel bucket bag and Sandro jacket.

For any sushi lovers out there, I discovered The Best sushi in Dublin and probably in all of Ireland.  I fancy myself a bit of a sushi connoisseur from growing up in California, but this far the sushi in Ireland has left something to be desired. . . Until now!  I would highly recommend dining at Rustic Taste which is a new restaurant that has only been open for three months.  It was the bomb! xo

Dublin Nights

This past weekend my husband and I got to sample the Dublin nightlife for the first time since moving here, courtesy of my mother who is visiting from California and was kind enough to babysit for the night.  In a futile attempt to save money, we got the bus into town. . .and that is where the frugality stopped!  After bar hopping a bit, we settled down at Olyesa's Wine Bar.  This place has a great chilled out atmosphere where you can sip lovely wines, eat a cheese plate and watch the world pass by outside.

Now for my outfit!  I have been obsessed with anything off the shoulder this whole summer, especially a particular Tibi top that is a bit out of my price range.  So I was delighted to see that Zara has a very similar top for a fraction of the price!  I'm also in love with the unique style of this Penney's necklace.  It's all about mixing high and low! xo

Park Life

There's nothing better than a sunny Saturday on a bank holiday weekend!  And I'm discovering new gems around Dublin all the time.  This park close to my house in Lucan has miles of walkways and scenic surroundings.  I feel so lucky to live here!  I'm also loving this burnt orange colour at the moment.  I recently picked up the shirt in Penney's for only 9 euro and I also bought this necklace at Zara which has a cool Egyptian vibe going on.  The jacket is old, but I love the print clash going on there!  Have a great long weekend xo
